The hot start from Matthew-Mark proved to be insurmountable as they outplayed and out hustled Luke-John in the 1st All Star Game. Tearing a page straight from a Lebron James all star team, the combined team of Matthew and Mark punished the hapless team of Luke and John from the start as they took care of business early while showcasing their skills from all over the court. They jumped into an early lead powered by the tournament's top scorers, Ponciano Tan and Aaron Roblo's combined offensive wizardries. The height difference between both teams was evident from the start as they outrebounded the red and black team. The rebounding difference created multiple opportunities for the team to score. They tripled the score by halftime, 66-22. They were led by 16 points of Tan and 14 by Roblo. Lunie Sebial joined the double digit party as he added 10 points. Orly Malupa and Mario Gayeta both scored 6 points on the other end to lead their team. The second half had the same tone as Matthew-Mark continued the onslaught against the exasperated Luke-John team. The lead was cut to less than 40 points but the combined effort of 6 players from the green and orange team were enough to keep it to at least a 33 point lead. The pickup game ended in a 119-86 in favor of Matthew-Mark. The 119 points in this game is the first time the century mark was passed this tournament. The rout was led by Tan as he scored 32 points.
